James was the first (and only) baby I had an official photo shoot with, back in the late Spring of 2010. Babies are challenging–they are largely reactive, cannot be reasoned with, and have a limited window in which they will be photographable. Plus, the ethereal look so popular in baby photography is not my strong suit. I tried with these, but looking back on them eight years later, I probably would have edited them differently. Nonetheless, it was fun to spend an afternoon with him and his mom trying to capture this short moment in time.
